The Ones He Loves

Today you get to read about something that really excites me, and honestly has stirred something in me like never before. Getting to go out and share about my favorite person to people that know the wrong version of him, has become a highlight of my weeks. Every week we get 1 or 2 opportunities to go off base and share with locals, visitors & immigrants about my best friend. On our ministry day we go work with a ministry from our base called Hope Zone in the red light district of Tijuana. They do many things at the center but when we go we've gotten to pray, evangelize & pass out bibles.

And I will be honest although I've grown up in a church VEERRRYY focused on outreach and going out, its something different now... When you actually have a revelation on the word you are trying to explain to people, there's so much more power and confidence in the process. But about 2 weeks ago we were doing bible distribution and we met a man selling clothes and other home objects in front of his house. His name is Hugo & he knew our leader and, he also liked to talk a lot...all in Spanish of course. He was sharing current things going on in his life and one being a loss of a family member. When 2 days earlier I had just experienced the loss of my Abuela, the 2nd loss in 2 months. But man did God show up, he made it more clear than ever that earth is not our home and that heaven is the best place to be!

Months of grief ceased because I understood that God knows the end from the beginning. But anyways this man in front of me was going though a very similar situation to me and before we left him we ask to pray and when I got to pray from him I believe not only that God started doing something in his life but in mine too. Declaring peace and victory over his situation caused my faith to rise for my own. Ministry times are so incredible, last week my team said they saw a healing and as my friend is feeling me this she shares how even now we are believing for healings in Cambodia & Malaysia in December.

The 2nd ministry we've done twice now is photo ministry. Through this ministry we get to not only work on photography but helping people see themselves as the ones God loves...and we do too. We go out into a street with our cameras, a portable printer and a poster that reads "Fotos Gratis", free photos. So people come up thinking they will get a print out but most of the time they leave with prayer and encouragement written on the back of the picture. I've got to met some beautiful people through this ministry and its showed me that yes I love photography but ultimately God even will use that for kingdom expansion.
